Importance Of Skincare

Before diving into skincare for winter, take a small note on what is the importance of skincare in winter and why skincare is a must.

  • The skin is a delicate and sheer part of your body. It gets exposed to the harmful ultraviolet radiations of sun, harsh and windy cold air, and unnecessary numerous skin care products.

  • The different skin diseases like psoriasis, eczema and skin cancer are the results of avoidance and insignificant towards your skin's calls. It needs your attention and care.

  • A simple skincare habit not only helps your skin to look healthy but also helps in reviving and relocking its moisture for the long run.

Winter Skincare Routine For Glowing Skin

There are countless routines concerning skincare for winter. Below is a handy and quick steps routine to follow for your skincare.

  1. Cleansing:

Cleansing is the foremost step in any skincare routine. Cleansing your face twice a day is enough. Go for a cleanser containing salicylic acid, lactic acid, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid depending on your skin type. If you have dry skin, pick a cleanser containing emollients which will remove all the impurities from your face. Others with oily skin should step to mild and water-based cleansers.

  1. Toning:

The second step is to apply a toner. Toning preps your skin, and allows it to absorb more active ingredients well from the products you apply further. A toner which offers tea tree oil, alpha-hydroxy acid, witch hazel, non-alcoholic, and chamomile provides soothing relief to your skin. Figure out what suits best for your skin.

  1. Serum:

Now, you must be wondering what this serum is. So to your enlightenment, serums are lightweight and gel-based liquids which penetrate high concentrations of specific enriched ingredients into the skin. 2-3 drops of serum in your skincare supports different skincare concerns.

  1. Moisturizer:

Now, it is the turn to spread a deep layer of moisturizer. Switch to moisturizers which have humectants, lanolin, lactic acid and emollient in them. You have to find out what works best for your skin. Moisturizers help to draw water, seal in moisture and soften skin in winter. The best way to apply moisturizer is when your skin is damp.

  1. Sunscreen:

Follow-up with an ounce of sunscreen of broad spectrum of at least 30. Whether you have any skin type, stepping out in the sun without applying a protective barrier is the biggest skincare mistake. Sunscreens aid in premature aging, sunburn, dark spots, wrinkles, redness, and pigmentation.

Skincare Tips For Winter

The following tips can prove to be a rescuer for you in skincare for winter.

  • Too much exfoliation is a strict 'No':

Exfoliating skin is a great way to remove all the dead cells from your skin. However, exfoliating frequently leads to rubbing out all the essential and organic oils from your face. Extreme exfoliation is not suggested for winter skincare routine for dry skin individuals.

  • Carry your SPF everywhere:

In winters, the sun is invisible. It does not mean that your skin is not getting affected by the UV rays. You should cover your skin with an SPF layer and reapply it after every 3-4 hours.

  • Stay hydrated:

Take minibreaks from your busy schedule to hydrate yourself. Remember, proper hydration is a key to skin cell regeneration.

  • Moisturize multiple times:

To avoid flaky and itchy skin, use heavy-based moisturizer and make sure to moisturize your skin multiple times a day.

  • Small patch test is life-guarding:

Skin is the most sensitive organ of your body. In case, if you are allergic to skincare products or before switching to any products, always do a patch test behind and near your neck, or earlobe.

  • Know your skin type:

There is no harm in knowing what your skin type is. It saves you from going to the wrong products regarding your skin. In addition, it also saves your money.

  • Avoid tight clothing:

Redness of skin, and unnecessary rashes are due to wearing too much tight and fitted clothing. Put on something which is loose, and let your skin breathe.

  • Less is more:

Leave your skin with a couple of products. Excessive application of products lead the way for frequent breakouts and blemishes in skin.

Losing your hair consistently not only symbolizes your poor scalp and hair health but also probable underlying issues such as constipation, stress or vitamin deficiency. Having said that, I am one of the victims of hair fall. I have tried my home remedies, and hair loss products but nothing worked out. So, during my research, I came across Traya health which has a 93% success rate, and that really fascinates me. I ran the Traya hair test which is completely free and got to know about what is causing my hair fall.
